01 · SHOPPING AT THE HOUSE

Terms of sale

House of Althaea / Maison Althaea is a small business located at 659 Patricia Street, Sherbrooke, Québec J1G 2P1, Canada. Questions may be sent to marketing@houseofalthaea.ca or by phone at 819-345-6664. Order details, taxes, shipping and the total are shown before payment can be confirmed.

Prices and orders

Prices are in Canadian dollars. House of Althaea is not currently registered for GST or QST and therefore does not collect these taxes at this time. Shipping charges are calculated and displayed before purchase. This information will be updated if our tax status changes. No mandatory non-government fee will be added after the advertised price. You will be able to review and correct the order before accepting it.

Confirmation

After successful payment, a confirmation that can be saved and printed will be emailed. It will identify the products, quantities, prices, taxes, shipping, total, delivery address and order date.

Availability

Products are released in small quantities. Adding an item to the cart does not reserve it; the sale is confirmed only after payment. If an exceptional issue prevents fulfillment, we will contact you promptly and honour all remedies required by law.

Shipping, cancellations & returns

Processing and delivery

Orders are normally prepared within 3–5 business days, then handed to Canada Post. Shipping within Canada only, through Canada Post. Please generally allow 1–13 business days after dispatch, depending on the service used and your destination, and up to 14 business days for certain remote areas. These timelines are estimates, are not guaranteed, and are in addition to your order’s processing time.

Shipping charges are displayed before payment. Standard shipping is free on orders of $75 CAD or more before tax when this offer is displayed on the site.

Change of mind — 14 days

You may request a return within 14 days of delivery. The product must be unused, complete and in its original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer for a change of mind. Contact us before sending the item for instructions. The product price is refunded after inspection; original shipping charges are non-refundable except where required by law.

Damaged item or error

Contact us as soon as possible with the order number and photos. We will correct the situation in accordance with applicable warranties and remedies. This policy never limits rights under consumer protection law, including remedies for non-delivery or missing mandatory information.

Privacy policy

House of Althaea collects only the information needed to create and secure an account, process an order, deliver products, answer messages, manage favourites and reviews, administer La Rueda Althaea, and send the newsletter when you consent.

Information, collection methods and use

Depending on the features used, this may include your name, email, phone number, addresses, delivery instructions, account identifier, favourites, reviews, voluntarily attached photos, orders and giving choices. It is collected directly from you through the site forms, your account, cart and checkout, your messages, and files you choose to submit. It is used only for the stated purposes, security, legal obligations and the requested service.

Consent and newsletter

Marketing sign-up is optional and separate. Every commercial email must identify House of Althaea and include an unsubscribe mechanism. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies

Essential cookies remember language, cart, session and privacy choices. Analytics or advertising tools must remain disabled until you agree. You can change this choice using “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Retention, security and access

We limit access, apply safeguards appropriate to sensitivity and retain information only as long as necessary. You may request access, correction or withdrawal of consent by contacting the person responsible for privacy at House of Althaea: marketing@houseofalthaea.ca.

Service providers and transfers

Technical providers may process information for hosting, authentication, payment, delivery or communications. Before information is communicated outside Québec, House of Althaea will assess privacy factors and limit what is shared.

Incidents and changes

Privacy incidents will be assessed, recorded and reported when required by law. Material changes to this policy will be announced on the site.
