About the Council

House of Althaea didn’t begin in a studio or a warehouse.

It began in my living room — usually with a cat nearby, a corgi supervising, and far too many little pieces of paper covering the table.

Almost every product you’ll find here is made by hand, right at home. From the very first sketch and design inspired by my own animals, to printing, cutting, assembling and finally packaging your order, each little piece passes through my hands before it reaches yours.

There are no giant production lines here. Just me, my tiny four-legged creative department, and a home slowly being taken over by stationery. ♡

Some materials and select products may come from trusted suppliers when I can’t make them myself, but whenever you see our Homemade by Althaea badge, it means that piece was genuinely made here, in-house, from creation to its finishing touches.
